Viatto is different. The Latin word “Via” means “the way” and the name just happens to sound like a delicious coffee drink. And so, it came to be. We are creating a new, delicious way of training. One that combines creative online video with written content, self-paced instruction, coaching and guidance, and concepts and theory with real-world application. THIS is the way.

DMARC Security: It's a thing!
The new DMARC email requirements from Google (and others) are not a simple "just create a DNS record" type-of-thing. I created this video to give you a deeper understanding of DMARC (and SPF...and DKIM...).

This is a video from an upcoming mini-series on how to configure DMARC for your organization. Moving fast, so no time for a fancy thumbnail or description 😆. Giddy'up!
Pure Tech: Data Center Overview
Переглядів 9 тис.2 роки тому
I recently visited the Veeya Data Center for some network maintenance tasks. While I was there, I thought I'd pull out my camera and give a perspective on why a data center is great and how devices are connected. #Viatto #datacenter
Netbox Summary and Moving Forward
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
You've reached the end, so what should you do next? We said that Netbox can be a data center infrastructure management and IP address management database where you put all your information in. Your job now is to take all the information that you've got in the series and build the central database. From there, we can start talking about integrating IP addresses and a lot of other things. Good lu...
Netbox Circuts DC Connection
Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
You may have a network, but it's nothing without a circuit! We are into the last concept of the network elements of Netbox, which is Circuits and Providers! So what are these? Click here for the full Netbox course: bit.ly/KITS-NetBox #Viatto #netbox
Netbox IPAM VLAN and VLAN Groups
Переглядів 9 тис.2 роки тому
We talked a lot about IP addresses, but what about VLANs? The good news is that VLANs are simple but extraordinarily useful! Technically, VLANs are at layer two of the OSI model. In NetBox, every Prefix has a VLAN assignment. There are two ways of adding them: one is a quick and easy way and the way that we recommend. Netbox IPAM the engineers way
Переглядів 10 тис.2 роки тому
How do you do IP addressing in NetBox the functional way? We suggest watching this, even if you're an advanced planner focused on doing things the RIGHT way! Click here for the full Netbox course: bit.ly/KITS-NetBox #Viatto #netbox
Netbox IPAM Prefixes and IP addresses the right way
Переглядів 33 тис.2 роки тому
When it comes to doing IP addressing in Netbox, there's the “right way” and there's the “functional way.” (which is what engineers on-the-job typically follow). In this lesson, we are going to talk about the “right way” whereas the next lesson will discuss the “engineers way”! Click here for the full Netbox course: bit.ly/KITS-NetBox #Viatto #netbox
Netbox IPAM RIR and Aggregates
Переглядів 8 тис.2 роки тому
When you start with IP addressing, go big! When you want to create an aggregate, there's a field called RIR or routing information registry. So what is that? Click here for the full Netbox course: bit.ly/KITS-NetBox #Viatto #netbox
Proxmox Creating an LXC Container
Переглядів 41 тис.2 роки тому
Now that you've created your first virtual machine, let's learn how to create containers in Proxmox! As we saw before, virtual machines have a complete environment - a full OS, applications that are running on that OS, and they're separated from the other VMs that are running on the same hypervisor. Whereas, a container, or more specifically an LXC container, is a Linux environment that shares ...
Netbox IPAM the Big Picture
Переглядів 11 тис.2 роки тому
According to the surveys, most people come to the NetBox because of IP addressing. Is that why you are here? IP Address Management (IPAM) was the primary reason NetBox was originally created and a massive need for any organization to remain stable, reliable, and consistent in network stability. Proxmox Creating Your First VM
Переглядів 17 тис.2 роки тому
Virtual Machines (VMs) are the core of hypervisor functionality, as it virtualizes hardware resources and provisions them to each VM. In this video, I'll discuss the methods you can use to create VM in Proxmox. Click here to get the full Promox training course: bit.ly/2YjcEBV #Viatto #proxmox
Netbox Power
Переглядів 13 тис.2 роки тому
An often overlooked, but critical topic when it comes to network and server environments is tracking and regulating device power. Oftentimes, engineers just assume “power is there” - simply plugging the device in and hoping all goes well. However, if you don’t track and regulate your device power, you could land yourself in a complete outage of all rack devices by overprovisioning PDU or circui...
Proxmox Understanding VMs Containers and Docker
Переглядів 23 тис.2 роки тому
Right now you might be wondering what exactly are VM, Container, and Docker that we mention all the time. In order to create them, you need to know how they work and when should you use them. Click here to get the full Promox training course: bit.ly/2YjcEBV #Viatto #proxmox

So it seems that running docker in LXC is the way to go.

Very Helpful. Thank you so much Jeremy.
Jeremy, I passed my CCNA earlier this year with a lot more experience than I needed, I had already spent 4 years as a network technician and a year as a network engineer. I was held back a lot by monetary constraints and the fear of failing (after everyone I know who had CCNA told me I would fail 4-5 times before passing...) I am currently employed as a Network Engineer and feel as if I have worked way past most CCNA topics. Should I move forward to CCNP? Are there any other certifications you would recommend?
do you put labels on the cables?
Doesn't XCP-Ng solve the "limited" features issue that things like Citrix Hypervisor (you forgot to mention it - perhaps on purpose? 😉) and VMWARE Have? or is it limited now too? Is ProxMox still the best centralized management in 2024? I need a starting place for a Server to have a lot of other test Hyper-Visors and VMs (for WIndows, and other O/S's)
Erm, since it's a docker. What about persistency of DB? Backups? Moving to another host?
You can't record a video of screen without software.. Video signal splitters: Exist.
I still dont understand in the perfect world scenario how will the router perform equal cost loadbalancing. Does BGP not only select one best path? Even if you receive default routes (via BGP I am assuming) from two ISPs only one will get past the BGP route selection process and be added to the routing table? What am I missing?
Dude you rock for this advice ! I was skeptic on continuing my associates in IT Networking but still applied myself. Stuck at the now what lol. Create opportunities by show casting and practicing my skill set. Thanks ! Definitely will recommend you to other newbies like myself.
I was not able to watch this series because of the music behind
what happened to Jermy that says Automatic is Bad - ccna nugget days. hehe
1 week of watching videos and asking teachers to explain this to me, and you cleared this topic up for me in 15 minutes. Amazing!
Awesome :)
I'm loving this series as I begin planning Netbox in my Homelab and my new job I wish I could give this video an extra like just for the use of the word 'automagically', it's something I use on a regular basis and I don't think gets the recognition it desires :)
what is the software you are using @ 3:44, which displays all your devices?
Thank you for the clear instructions. I have installed Proxmox on a 2013 Mac Mini and the creation of LXC containers works amazing!
arg... too much time being friendly. I need the walkthough, not the cafe chat.
Hi, Is there any was how can I install netbox in GCP? could you please guide me here
Was i listening to you when i was learning networking on CBT nuggets?! 🫨🫨
Great video. You have helped me a lot. I have adapted your steps to my QNAP without major problems. Much appreciated. Another subscriber.......
Yea, this doesn't work anymore, at least not on the UDM Pro Max. It just tells me I need to hold the reset button, which is gonna be a pain since everything is mounted to the ceiling.
Thank you.
too bad one still can not model a ups - pdu - device in netbox and read the total power usage of the ups. thats a quite common scenario in smaller (branch) deployments...
Installed this. I am pretty sure I am going to fall in love with it.
Great video, it worked for me.
"I hope this has been informative for... Iron Mountain, and lower the costs" 🤪
Please can you update the video with new software and video quality..
Love your energy! Great video!
thats great. installs easily. however i havent a clue how to migrate from a previous non docker netbox system (different sysadmin who wrote FA down) to this docker netbox installation. All the online howtos are for a non dockor installation
A+++++ all I wanted to do was create a vlan that was apart of the guest wifi for LAN connected devices like my work laptops to be separate from my private networks ... I run UNIFI network with many switches and wifi AP`s all unifi and this was the simplest and best video out their !!! thank you so much ... Now I just want to learn how to create vlans that can share the network as I have run out of IP addys due to home automation security ETC ETC Awesome quick and easy Video :)
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤓🤓🤓🤓
i started my baby steps with his videos in 2009 , its been so long, and now i am excited to study again but cannot find any AWS courses :( . Please tell me if you have AWS trainings...

Thanks for the concepts. Also the yeti thing blew my mind. Next level.
its amazing how excited you get over this.. and somehow make it so engaging AND understandable.. thanks so much mate!
I'm getting it! Thanks for clarifying this so well
Happy I found this channel! Greatly informative and engaging videos. Keep it up!
Most excellent tutorial. Thank you! I will check your other videos and subscribe if they are like this one!
As the protocol itself is stateless does the session key generates for every request or how does it identify the session key and client?
You should create more abstract videos
Would love a "google to high heaven" sticker. :)
We didnt get the commands used to config in CLI... does anyone have it? thanks
The best thing i watched .. 😊
The best documentation is automation. Documentation in netbox and tell automation to configure the network as it is documented.
The best explanation i've heard so far, thank you!
thanks)
